Big Crunch is one theory of what ultimately happens to our 13.7 billion year expanding Universe. We know we are the progeny of the expanding primordial atom and are part of an oscillating Universe. A Universe that is currently expanding, however could slow down, could collapse, and could retreat back until itself. At some point will our Universe have a cosmological collapse onto itself, and retreat back into that immensely condensed primordial ekpyrotic fiery ball from whence it came? Is time the Cosmos endlessly recycling and reshifting itself? Is Eternity, Eternal Return, and Eternal life an endless-and-timeless recycling balancing wheel of Big Bangs and Big Crunches?
