I advance the idea that the pure number of religions certainly is an indication that they are man-made jokes. Over the past 6,000-12,000 years, it has been astonishingly estimated of the existence of 100,000 different religions in various cultures across the globe. Edward Harrison pointed out, “societies display a remarkable diversity of religious belief.” (2003) The three major religious groups are: Eastern Group (Hinduism, Buddhism, and Taoism), Abrahamic Group (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam), and the Secular Group (Naturalism, Humanism, and Agnosticism). A global Axial Age (600 BC – 300 BC) saw the development of the major religions of Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Zoroastrianism, Taoism, Confucianism, and the early Greek philosophical schools. There has been many (and over time there will be many more) holy texts and holy scriptures reporting to have the answers to the Great Mysteries —> Old Testament, New Testament, Talmud, Torah, Zohar (Book of Radiance), Qur’an, Bhagavad Gita (Song of the Lord), I Ching (Book of Changes), Book of Mormon, Rigveda, Tao Te Ching, Avesta, the Hadith, and on, and on. The holy books of the Big Three (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam), were mainly written by illiterate shepherds. There has been many (and over time there will be many more) holy men, prophets, and seers all reporting to have the answers to the Great Mysteries ——> Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, Quetzalcoatil, Noah, Confucius, Mohammad, Zoroaster, Padmasambhave, Joseph Smith, and on, and on.
