In previous posts, I have been discussing Universal Mysteries. The Triune Mysteries are my designation of the Great Questions related to the fundamental nature of the Universe and of us. The underlying questions that relate to all other questions are, “Who am I?,” ”What am I?,” and “What is my place in the Cosmos?” The mystery of the Self contains multiple questions related to the Self and the Universe we are weaved into. All of the great mysteries are about emergence (origins) and the forces of Nature that have surfaced to create the Universe (Big Bang), life (Big Birth), and self-aware human beings (Big Brain). Emergence entails how a long journey of evolutionary changes takes a simplicity of inert matter and becomes a complexity of a cerebralization capable of self-awareness. Human beings, generation to generation, investigate what it means to be human and our relationship with what I have come to call the fundamental Triune Mysteries (The Big Three) of Creation, Life, and Death (more to come).
